About the Role
As a Compliance Analyst at Bluevine, you will support internal compliance initiatives and work closely with multiple business teams to address compliance-related matters. The role involves monitoring, testing, regulatory reporting, audits, third-party risk management, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.
This position is well suited for an analytical and results-oriented professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a rapidly changing startup environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support internal monitoring and testing activities to assess compliance with applicable BSA regulations.
- Assist with unusual activity reporting and 314(a) compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with business teams to collect information and data required for compliance and control testing.
- Support external audit coordination, document collection, and remediation of identified compliance gaps.
- Work with the Compliance Manager and relevant business partners to address issues and recommendations raised by banking partners.
- Conduct due diligence on prospective and existing vendors in accordance with third-party risk-management requirements.
- Help maintain and update compliance policies and procedures based on regulatory developments.
- Track and respond to regulatory complaints, identify trends, and prepare periodic reports.
- Monitor annual compliance training progress and evaluate employee participation and adherence.
- Collaborate with teams across Bluevine to support compliance initiatives and resolve compliance-related issues.
- Handle ad hoc compliance requests and escalate issues when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to compliance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Around 1+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, banking, fintech, or a related area is preferred.
- Knowledge of, or strong interest in, regulations such as AML/BSA, ECOA/Reg B, ACH, UDAAP, FCRA, and other applicable financial regulations.
- Familiarity with U.S. banking compliance requirements and fintech compliance practices is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to examine data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.
