Job Description
As a Technical Support Representative Intern, you will gain practical exposure to application scheduling, production monitoring, and technical support activities. You will observe and learn from IBM consultants while developing industry-relevant skills.
The role may require you to work in rotational day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and learn application monitoring activities, including incident and fault analysis.
- Assist with simple technical rectification and monitoring of application processes.
- Gain exposure to low- to medium-level production technical support activities.
- Understand application functionality and the primary technologies used in application development.
- Learn about application scheduling and production monitoring.
- Gain experience in managing service-related applications.
- Assist with non-code-related application configuration and settings.
- Work effectively under defined processes and conditions while learning from experienced consultants.
Required Skills
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct extensive online research, particularly using Google.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications.
- Good understanding of subjects related to your graduation.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Ethical and professional approach to work.
- Willingness to learn technical support processes.
Work Requirements
- Comfortable working in rotational day and night shifts.
- Willing to work six days a week, with one rotating weekly off.
- Adaptable to a work-from-home environment and the assigned location/work arrangement.
