Job Description
As a KYC Operations Graduate, you will help Wise meet its regulatory and compliance requirements. The role begins with a structured training program covering Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD). After completing the required training and accreditation, you will analyse customer activity, review risk indicators, identify unusual behaviour, and ensure KYC records remain accurate and up to date.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Complete the KYC training program and required accreditation assessments.
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews based on customer risk profiles.
- Analyse transaction histories and customer behaviour to identify potential risks.
- Conduct periodic customer reviews and assess changes in account activity.
- Review high-risk customer reports and provide analysis according to company policies.
- Identify customer records requiring additional review and follow up for required information or documentation.
- Verify that customer information and documentation meet Wise’s risk requirements.
- Conduct detailed research using customer-provided documents, websites, company registries, and other external sources.
- Communicate with internal teams to resolve complex or escalated cases.
- Support colleagues and management with guidance on complex cases and customer reviews.
- Develop a strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations and their impact on the business.
- Draft SAR narratives when unusual activity needs to be reported.
- Contribute to process improvements, policy updates, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
- Develop knowledge of different business models, customer types, country risks, and international regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with customers through available channels, including phone, email, and chat.
- Meet the performance and quality standards established by the leadership team.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other internal or external activities as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Fresh university graduate; previous banking or finance experience is not required.
- Proactive, punctual, independent, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while meeting strict KPIs.
- Strong interest in learning global KYC/AML regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to analyse complex information and reach logical conclusions.
- Ability to manage routine and stressful situations effectively.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays based on business requirements.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- ICA, CAMS, or equivalent certification with an EDD/AML focus.
